The motto of the German-speaking SAP user group was ‘Preprogrammed for pre-thinking: Intelligent IT makes the difference’ and focused on the one hand like last year hybrid IT architectures and IoT applications, on the other hand the employee and junior talents in the IT industry.
Successfully implementing digital transformation with S / 4HANA, SAP Cloud platforms requires more than investment in the technology itself. It must create a rapport for IT and departments to not only understand and manage these technologies, but also the complexity of doing so to be able to transfer. Therefore, the promotion of IT and young talent, as well as the provision of strategies is just as important a pillar in the digitization path.
As a result, the event held a Digital Education Summit devoted to a whole day of skills shortages in the IT industry to educate users on how to create incentives and incentives for junior professionals in the SAP environment.
DSAG Technology Director Ralf Peters opened his keynote address by stating that the topic of hybrid landscapes is no longer just a vision of the future, but has already become a standard that continues to pose major challenges for many companies. In the transition from on-premise to hybrid system landscapes, securing the core processes of companies is probably the biggest problem. Strategies must be geared accordingly and, above all, the technology itself. In the past, on-premise made it easier to intervene, which is no longer guaranteed in hybrid landscapes. Many deliveries in the e.g. enhancement packs and service packs still do not provide the quality and the tools to guarantee fluid performance without reworking, Mr. Peters continued in his keynote. Accordingly, there is still a great need of DSAG users for better software quality and better information flow.
Through cross-system controls, as HONICO BatchMan offers, customers are able to centrally control these hybrid landscapes. In addition, delays in the process are immediately visible. Furthermore, the automation of the processes helps relieve qualified personnel and thus provide the now urgently needed capacities for the upcoming projects.
