R\u00f6dl & Partner has been centrally managing Festool’s entire SAP landscape since 2019. Previously, Festool had used BMC’s Control-M for job automation via its previous IT service provider. Festool was previously able to call up job processing in SAP SM36 using Control-M, but could only obtain further core information via the external IT service provider.<\/p>

In the course of the project migration to R\u00f6dl & Partner, it was therefore crucial for Festool to be able to view more information on job processing directly in SAP and thus create more transparency.<\/p>

R\u00f6dl & Partner therefore recommended to use BatchMan from HONICO for Festool’s requirements.     An important part of the migration was to transfer the processes from an SAP ERP system, an SAP BI system and an SAP HR system. The migration was fast and successful. A major advantage during the entire migration up to the start of production was the short time required to switch between various test and sandbox systems (export \/ import master data).<\/p>

    The high level of transparency within BatchMan, e.g. through monitoring and the BatchMan library, offers Festool a wide range of research options. IT staff now have the option of independently checking all relevant information on “their” jobs (scheduling, job variants, etc.).<\/p>

    During the migration, the opportunity was also taken to remove jobs that were no longer required and thus optimize batch processing.<\/p>

    In addition, more parallelization of jobs within networks was planned, which then led to a significant acceleration of processes. The automatic notification of job terminations (alerting) to the “job owners” means that there is very little loss of time until a decision is made as to how to proceed with the terminated job. All job sequences and process chains were implemented according to the planning.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
