Festool Migration from BMC Control-M to BatchMan
Requirements for BatchMan
- Platform-independent control SAP and non-SAP
- Simple, central administration and control of jobs
- Central and clear monitoring
- Easy handling during operation (e.g. maintenance window, job orchestration, alarming, etc.)
- Simple architecture and integration into system landscape
- Serial and parallel processing of job chains
The Migration from Control-M to BatchMan
An important part of the migration was to transfer the processes from an SAP ERP system, an SAP BI system and an SAP HR system. The migration was fast and successful. A major advantage during the entire migration up to the start of production was the short time required to switch between various test and sandbox systems (export / import master data).
"The HONICO support team provided rapid assistance with concrete requirements. Thanks to very good manuals, the installation and configuration of the BatchMan software went very well", reports Mr. Stefan Hubig, SAP Consultant at Rödl & Partner. Another advantage was the stability of the batch processing, since the tool is fully integrated into SAP and therefore no RFC connection to external systems is necessary.
Festool project management says
"BatchMan convinced us with its cross-system control, easy and intuitive operation, flexible scheduling options and outstanding overview within the monitoring system, as well as the convenient options for replanning and de-planning job processes within the monitoring system."
