Approach to a solution / Implementation

The migration strategy and its dependent processes should be depicted in a transparent manner. The early involvement of the specialist divisions in the preparatory work for migration (migration blueprint) is intended to ensure a high degree of acceptance and user friendliness for the future process and system landscape.

Within the scope of changing from today's systems, the business-relevant objects from the SAP systems used to date (PG1: Release 4.7, PPR Release ERP 2004) must be migrated to an ERP 6.0 SAP system. This is done using a standardized and automated process, assisted by the LSMW. For this purpose, standard documents (migration templates) and processes were compiled and adapted to the respective customer situation within the scope of the project work. All in all, standard software / tools were used as far as possible and individual developments only applied in very small dosage, thus achieving the time targets and avoiding unnecessary risks.
